Sisa Jack – Founder

Sisa, Founder and Chairman of Boardbank SA, is dedicated to fostering growth and positive change across Africa. Through Boardbank SA, he connects skilled young professionals with arts organizations in South Africa, enabling them to volunteer on boards and bring valuable expertise. In 2009, Sisa co-founded Africa Empowered, a dynamic organization dedicated to catalyzing people-driven development. The organization’s mission spans across Leadership, Education, and Entrepreneurship, all aimed at driving sustainable progress in Africa.

Sisa is also the co-founder of the Global Dignity Foundation, which oversees a network of learners actively engaged in projects that uplift both their dignity and that of their peers. This impactful program has expanded to include over 1,000 participants across South Africa and enjoys support from prominent organizations such as Brand SA, the Adopt a School Foundation, and various leading corporations.

A passionate art patron, Sisa believes in the power of the arts to inspire innovation and drive businesses forward. Through his role as Founder & Executive Director of BoardConnect, Sisa is committed to helping young professionals reach their full leadership potential by promoting collaboration between business and the arts.

Sisa’s work also includes developing innovative financing mechanisms for Creative Arts programs, with a particular emphasis on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

He is also a co-founded the Growth Catalyst Fund, which operates according to principles similar to Sovereign Wealth Funds. This fund provides a vehicle through which the private sector can contribute to nation-building initiatives across Africa, aligning with the National Development Plans.

Fundi Ndaba
Non Executive Director

Ms Fundi Ndaba joined BoardConnect in 2019. She is a Senior Transformation and Change Manager at a FMGC company.Her role includes developing the BEE governance and scorecard, and developing change management. She developed a BEE sustainable Strategy Model that includes preferential procurement, Employment Equity, Skills Development, Corporate Social Investment, Enterprise Development approach. She has also reviewed and developed policies focusing on the above areas.

Her role and responsibilities included developing a BEE compliance profile for the organization and implementing the corporate transformation strategy as per BEE Act. She has conducted workshops with various business units where business scorecards and BEE key performance indicators were developed. And a year plan that translates into tangibles.

The Key Performance Indicators have been translated into a change management project dashboard for continuous monthly review. She is continuously engaging with BoardConnect executives to review their business performance.
